Is anyone else having difficulty getting the Wing It app to work correctly? I need suggestions as I have exhausted my repertoire of ideas!
It will connected on both Monarch and IOS device, but when I toggle the switch on the app from disconnected to connected it does not show anything drawn on the screen (tired iPhones (3) and iPads (3) - all accepted products). Is ther a patch I am missing. Yes, it is updated….
Hi Theresa! I just received tech support on this. I will tell you that I was able to get the Monarch to connect using my iOS phone but had to remove the applicaiton and then reinstall it on my phone. I was also advised that if you have the Monarch on your iOS device as a “true” bluetooth connection, you should ensure that you prompt your iOS to “Forget this device”. I also completed a factory reset on the Monarch. I then attempted to connect my student’s iPad to connect with the Wing-It app. I turned off “Wi-Fi” on the Monarch by placing it in airplane mode and it connected. I am unsure if there is a Wi-Fi setting at school that is conflicting, but once I did that on the Monarch the two deivces were able to connect. And the only reason I thought of putting Monarch in airplane mode was because after having reset the Monarch I had not immediately connected to wi-fi when I was successful connecting my phone and Wing-It, so I figured this was worth a try.
I do not know if any of these issues I have had will help you to troubleshoot your own connection, but here’s hoping.
Thank you, Tonya! It DID work - for about 10 minutes and then just stopped. Tried doing the reset again and the same things happened. It will work for a few minutes but it is not sustaining. I think there is either a glitch in the actual app for IOS or something is internally wrong in my Monarch…
Good Morning Hive Crew, I just wanted to come into the discussion board and offer those of you using Wing It, or those of you who have suffered connection woes. The team and I have been very hard at work since the initial release of Wing It, we have been working on a large stability update which will improve bluetooth performance, improve connection stability, and we can finally include those troublesome iOS devices that have been on our “Not Compatible list.” Expect our beefy stability update towards the end of April.
