Course Description: What are the ingredients for preparing students to become career ready? Preparing students to be career ready means helping them gain the skills they need for adult life and work. Students with visual impairment and complex needs require special support to become independent and successful in the workplace. This course explains how teachers can prepare these students by focusing on career skills, self-determination, and quality of life. It emphasizes student-centered planning, where learners are involved in making decisions about their own future. The course also shows how Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) skills can be included in career readiness programs to support independence, employment, and successful transition to adult life.
