Saavi Services for the Blind is seeking a dynamic Career Opportunities Instructor/Developer to join our Phoenix Campus. This role expands employment options for blind adults by building strong employer partnerships, supporting individualized career development, and opening meaningful pathways to competitive employment.

Position Overview
The Career Opportunities Instructor/Developer connects students with real‑world employment experiences through job shadowing, workplace tours, internships, volunteer placements, and competitive job opportunities. The role blends career instruction with hands-on community outreach and teaches essential job readiness skills such as résumés, interviewing, and workplace expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with employers and community organizations
- Identify and develop job, internship, and volunteer opportunities
- Teach résumés, interviewing, networking, and job search strategies
- Coordinate job shadowing, informational interviews, and work experiences
- Provide onsite job coaching and early retention support
- Develop individualized career plans and document student progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation, Disability Studies, Education, Business, or related field
OR equivalent experience in employment services or disability-related career development - Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to advocate for blind jobseekers and promote high expectations
- Knowledge of Structured Discovery preferred
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: $45,000–$60,000 annually (based on experience)
