I’m having a bit of a problem getting a braille label in braille 29 font to come out on the Monarch. I have a PDF and the word “pig” in a text box using braille 29 font. The braille that comes out is “rbq” instead of “pig” (and only when I zoom in one level. Only two dots are shown at the zoom out maxed out. The graphic is great, just the braille label is off. I used Word to create the graphic and label. Am I missing something? Thanks!

When I look at your two files, the Word document has “pig” in Braille29, but in the PDF document “pig” appears in a print font. Will you check your original PDF document for me and let me know whether you see a print or a braille font in it?
I downloaded and resaved your Word document as a PDF file and “pig” is appearing correctly for me on the Monarch. Will you also check this file that I have attached, both in Adobe and on the Monarch, and let me know whether it now looks right to you?

It worked, Jenny! The only thing I can think is that I didn’t have full Adobe installed, but added the Chrome extension…not even sure if that would affect the braille label.
My original PDF had a print label, but braille 29 font. 3 of us tried to make the label with no luck (that equates to an “us” problem!!) Thinking we are overthinking the braille label!! The graphics with your label is amazing on the Monarch! I’ll request to add it to TGIL.

Excellent! Just make sure that your final PDF label looks like braille, or the Monarch will think it is something else as it is basically trying to reproduce exactly what it sees. I don’t think a limited version of Adobe would make a difference - it’s the PDF that counts. Creating your picture and labels with Braille29 in Word, then saving as a PDF and opening on the Monarch without going through Adobe should give you everything you need, but please let me know anytime any of the software gives you trouble.
