How will I access the reading materials for the Cohort?
Answer:
Cohort participants will be enrolled in a private Hive course where they will have access to all cohort materials including the syllabus, accessible readings, and assignment details.

Are other type of credits available if I don’t need ACVERP credit?
Answer:
Continuing Education Units for the renewal of a state’s educator certificate are awarded following individual state’s guidelines. Each state has different guidelines, but many certifying offices accept Hive course certificates in place of Continuing Education Units.
Participants should verify that a local school district/organization is willing to accept the certificate for the course completed. If approved, each course offers a certificate of completion detailing the total number of professional learning hours, which can be submitted to local certifying offices in lieu of CEUs.

I have a vacation planned during one week of the Cohort. Will I be able to make up the week?
Answer
Yes! The Cohort is asynchronous, which allows you the flexibility to work ahead or catch up as needed to fit your schedule. Since discussion board posts are an integral part of the Cohort, we recommend that you don’t get too far ahead or behind. Don’t forget to submit your weekly check-in forms that correspond to the week you are completing! All assignments must be complete by the end of the cohort to receive your certificate of completion.
How do we know if we are part of the cohort? I thought I signed up.
Hello Terri! We’re excited to have you joining us for the Hive Summer Cohort again this year! You should have received a confirmation email from me on May 12th. I will be sending out a more detailed email sometime in the next few days, so be on the lookout for that!

I am not sure I’m accessing Summer 26 correctly.
I made an intro post, read the week one documents and responded to some other intro posts. I think those were in the 26 cohort. But I’m not positive I was able to post there.
My account is sara.beezley@tumwater.k12.wa.us but I recieved access emails via my personal email of sarabeezley@yahoo.com. I don’t want to miss anything or become behind.
Is there an android app? Right now I’m accessing via my phone’s web browser.
Hi! I can access the discussion board and the Week 1 Check-In form, but I’m unable to access any of the course materials. My screen is blank when I click on the 2026 Hive Summer Cohort link. Am I missing something? Thanks for the help!

Hi Sara! When registering for the cohort, we requested two email addresses - the email associated with your Hive account and one that we could use for communication over the summer. Many have their automatic replies on for their professional email over the summer, so we wanted to be sure we could reach everyone. You have access to everything you need!
