Hi. I just received a NLS literacy certification. I would love to share my experience with anyone who is interested in getting this certification or already in the process. I know this is a big challenge to go through! I thought I could be a mentor to emotionally and technically.

I have submitted my 2nd manuscript. I ended up sending in the incorrect front matter for the first manuscript and bombed it. I am curious how long it took to receive your certification once you started the manuscript process.
Hi. It took at least a couple months to receive my certification after I started my manuscript. It’s a long process for sure! I hope you will pass this time! Please ask me any questions and concerns you have.

Emi, if you are comfortable sharing your certification experience here, I think it would be helpful to a lot of people. We also have a new Braille Certification Study Group discussion board that I would love for you to join - it is just getting started and you would be a great resource for those taking the courses right now.
It would be wonderful if anyone else here also wanted to join our Braille Certification Study Group, share their stories, and ask questions as they go through or complete the certification process. I would love for that space and those who visit it to benefit from all of you and your experiences.
