Jennifer Brooks, Regional Specialist, Northcentral Region

Serving Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin

Jennifer’s professional career in the field of visual impairments extends over 15 years and includes serving as a TVI, COMS, and CVRT. She developed and provided teacher trainings to build sustainable programs in O&M and Independent Living at schools for the blind and non-profit organizations in the country of Romania. She spent more than 5 years in the country providing trainings to teachers, parents, students, and others.

She has worked with individuals of all ages at a non-profit agency in Florida including mentoring and coaching instructors in her role as Director of Programs. In addition, she has taught courses at Florida State University and collaborated in statewide trainings and events. Super excited to be a part of the Northcentral team! I just accepted a braille instructor position at the SD School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Any resources, suggestions, and ideas are greatly appreciated!!
