Course Description: How much information can a student who is blind gather from a map, diagram, or graph? The answer depends on the quality and purpose of the tactile graphic. This course explores how to design tooled tactile graphics that provide meaningful, accessible information through touch. Participants will learn the four essential elements of tactile graphics, apply strategies to improve readability and comprehension, and develop a practical plan for creating tooled graphics that directly support classroom instruction.
