Course Description: How can educational teams conduct meaningful cognitive evaluations for students with visual impairments? Effective assessment requires collaboration, thoughtful planning, and an understanding of how visual impairment may influence test performance. Participants will examine how to identify factors that impact testing within student records, explore how visual impairment may affect development, and consider variables that shape evaluation planning and implementation. This course highlights collaborative practices that support accessible evaluation and provides guidance for not only interpreting assessment data but also reporting results that accurately reflect student abilities.
