Math Minds Unseen - Virtual Math Club

Dear Students, Families, and Educators,

We are thrilled to announce the return of Math Minds Unseen for the 2025–26 school year! Our first session will be on Monday, September 8th, and we’ll continue to meet every second Monday of the month.

What’s Math Minds Unseen?
It’s a fun and supportive virtual math club where students with visual impairments in grades 4–8 come together to explore unique and challenging math problem sets, similar to those in Mathcounts and AMC competitions. More than just solving problems, this club is about connecting with like-minded peers who share a passion for math.

This Year’s Exciting Updates:

· Certificate & Gift Card awarded at the end of the school year for active participants

· Interactive monthly sessions led by experienced instructors and student leaders

· Accessible materials provided (tactile graphics, Nemeth, UEB files as needed)

· A chance to be part of the official 2025–26 Math Minds Unseen cohort!

Club Schedule:
Second Monday of each month, 4:30–6:00 PM MST (6:30–8:00 PM EST)

Please feel free to share this with other students/families/teachers who may be interested!

We can’t wait to kick off another exciting year of learning, problem-solving, and math adventures together!

Is this for the SW Region only? Thank you

Do we need to be with our students as they are participating or can they do it at home with their family?

Hi Diane!

This is for everyone.

Jenny

Hi Michele!

They are certainly welcome to participate at home with their families.

Jenny

Thank you! Also, will these be recorded so that we can do them with students in the event that families do not participate at home?

They won’t be recording the meetings, but they will provide problem sets and solutions after each session.
