My name is Akeyah Patterson, and I am a dedicated educator with over five years of experience at the Maryland School for the Blind. I currently teach intermediate to middle school students with a wide range of mild to severe disabilities, including visual impairments. I am passionate about providing inclusive, individualized instruction that meets the diverse needs of my students.

I am especially interested in expanding my knowledge of Cortical/Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI) and eager to explore new strategies, resources, and best practices. My goal is to continue growing as an educator and to empower my students to reach their fullest potential through evidence-based, accessible teaching methods.
