This is a great point considering students may be bringing the device to and from school. It is important to educate parents and ensure they have access to the scropy file so they can see what their child is doing. In addition, a parent who has a VI and is in need of braille may be able to work side by side with their child.
I also really like the idea of using a masking window with the tactile graphics. I also agree that material specialists have a hard time deciding what information to include for the graphic while not putting too much clutter. I try to always make meeting time at the beginning of the year with the student’s teachers, materials specialist, and TVI to come to consensus on how they want the tactile graphics made and what to include.
