Life Skills Assistant
Provides individual and group guidance, relative to developing independent life skills and post-graduation preparedness for blind, visually – or multiple impaired students. Provides intense instruction in all areas of daily living, career readiness and Expanded Core Curriculum. High School diploma/GED and NM Public Education Department Level 3 licensure will be required. Background/experience in working with visual/multiply-impaired students, job coaching and/or woodworking skills are preferred. Will be required to become Braille proficient. Full-time, 9-month position for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications accepted until filled.
